Send in the completed application package along with $1,000 application fee which will be
credited towards the program fees
Admission Interview will be given on a first come first served basis
Notice of acceptance will be given 1-2 days after the interview and evaluation of the application
Notice of pre-trip seminar will be sent to successful applicants in early June

Total Program Fees are US$5,850* in 3 payments:
$1,000 application fee
$2,000 as 2nd Payment due within one week after notification of acceptance
Full payment is due by March 15th, 2008
Payment could be made by cash at MEG office or sent by check with application package to MEG
office

* DUE TO THE 2008 OLYMPIC GAME, THERE MAY BE AN INCREASE OF PROGRAM FEE UP TO
10% DEPENDING ON THE AIR-TICKET COSTS TO BEIJING . NO ACTUAL COSTS OF THE
TICKET ARE ANNOUNCED BY AIRLINE COMPANIES YET.

Program fee covers:
Round-Trip Tickets between USA and China
Visa to China
Medical, Accident and Travel Insurance
Transportation within China for official program activities
Tuition, Accommodation and Meals
CSL Program and class materials
Related expenses of visits and excursions

Program Fee does not cover:
Passport preparation and fees
Personal expenses such as internet service charges outside of BLCU campus, telephone, fax,
personal items, gifts and souvenirs
Additional meals and personal activities


Policy:
Application fee is refundable if the application is not accepted
Withdrawal from program would not be entitled to refund except 1) Unexpected health condition
situation; and 2) family emergency; adequate proof is required when applying for refund
Failure to pay the 2nd or the final payment by due date will be considered as withdrawal from
application.
Due to pre-paid expenses incurred to MEG in reserving airfare, school spaces and
administration, only 70% of the program fee (
after deduction of the application fee) can be
refunded to the qualified withdrawal application.
No refund will be entitled if the participation of a student is terminated due to violation of any
rules and regulations of the program.
No refund will be entitled for any students leaving the program voluntarily for any reason.
MEG or the hosting institute reserves the right to make any cancellations or changes or
substitutions in cases of emergency or changed conditions or in the interest of the students.
Partial refund may be made as per the circumstances.
No refund of any program fee would be made if the student could not depart with the group due
to failure in obtaining Visa. Delays in submitting any required materials is the responsibility of
the applicant.
MEG is not responsible for any injury or loss endured by students during the period of the
program and during independent unsupervised travels or during any absence from the host
institute or other MEG supervised activities.
MEG and its officers, directors, staff members, contractors, agents, affiliated companies or the
hosting institute and its officers, directors, staff members, contractors, agents, affiliated
companies should not be responsible for, and should be held harmless from and indemnified
against any consequences of any incidents arising out of students’ failure to remain under
supervision or to comply with local laws and standards, rules and regulations of the program,
and instructions of Program personnel.

Rules & Regulations:







No drinking or smoking during the program for students under the age 21, and that will be no
exceptions.
Local laws and standards of conduct must always be observed.
No inappropriateness such as insulting, offensive, dangerous, disruptive, inconsiderate, or the
like behavior and comments to any persons or organizations during the Program would be
tolerated.
Boys and girls should not stay alone with each other without supervision.
All classes and sessions of activity in the program should be attended except with prior
approval from Program Leaders on situational cases.
No independent outings are allowed without prior approval of Program Leaders.
Cooperation with and following instructions of Program personnel is expected from all students.
No students should stay at a place where the local laws or the rules and regulations of the
program are being broken.
Students should immediately report to Program Leaders if knowing any students breaking the
local laws and standards of conduct, or the rules and regulations of the program.

Safety and Health Care
Safety of students is our No. 1 concern. The program is thus carefully structured by qualified
and experienced professionals, from the application process to interview for screening quality
students, and from pre-trip seminar to on campus activities with comprehensive information to
parents and guardians.
Students are able to communicate with their parents or guardians regularly via telephone or
internet on campus.
Direct phone numbers and email addresses of the hosting institute and our program personnel
would be provided to the parents or guardians before departure so they can check the status
of the students at anytime.
Being the capital of China, the city of Beijing has housed top-class hospitals and clinics with
numerous excellent doctors. Any medical issues of students would be taken care of. If there
are any serious medical problems, parents or guardians will be notified immediately.
Medical, accident and travel insurance is covered by AIG member, details will be given at the
Pre-trip Seminar.

At the complete discretion of MEG, any student violating the following rules and regulations would be
dismissed from the program and be sent home immediately at his/her parents’ or guardian's expense
and will not be entitled to any refund of program fee.
