Chinese has become one of the most learned languages in the world. This trend
has led many high schools and universities in the United States to offer Chinese as
a second language. This is your chance to prepare your young ones for their future
success! Success does not mean to simply complete an education and establish a
profound career. Matrix Ed-Services Group, MEG, defines success as a first hand
experience which opens up a world of opportunities and possibilities for the next
generation.
MEG’s 2008 “Chinese as a Second Language” Study-Abroad Program, also known
as MEG’s 2008 CSL Study-Abroad Program, offers students from grades 9 through
12 a four week on campus program in learning the Chinese language. The stay is at
the dormitory of a well known university in Beijing. This short-term lifestyle of
independence guides your children one step closer to maturity as they prepare for
their college years. The studying and learning process is done at the same
university, taught and conducted by qualified and experienced teachers in CSL. The
program is filled with after school cultural activities and weekend excursions.

Introduction
Acceptance into MEG’s 2008 program is based upon completion of the Application
and an interview process. MEG tests each student individually for qualification and
placement into the program and classes. To ensure the quality of teaching, classes
are small, therefore, space is limited.  MEG will monitor each student’s progress
throughout the entire program. Students are anticipated to read and write in simple
Chinese, as well as understand and communicate the language. At the end of the
program students will obtain a Certificate of Completion presented by the university.
